3.8 Million Public Transport Users in Ajman in 2024

The total number of passengers who used public transport buses across internal and external routes in Ajman during 2024 reached 3,860,265 passengers, with the total number of trips amounting to 127,344 journeys.

Ajman Transport Authority emphasized the vital role of the public transport sector in driving economic growth, highlighting its commitment to continuously developing and improving public transport services across the emirate. The authority reported an 11.5% increase in passenger numbers compared to 2023, when 3,462,002 passengers used public buses.

The authority reaffirmed its ongoing efforts to enhance the public transport fleet, ensuring that buses meet high standards of safety, comfort, and quality. The buses are equipped with comfortable seating and advanced safety measures, reinforcing the authority’s goal of making public transport the preferred choice for commuters.

To keep pace with urban development and population growth, the authority is also expanding the number of bus stopsacross Ajman. Additionally, it has introduced environmentally friendly solar-powered bus stops, supporting its vision of safe, sustainable, and modern transportation for the emirate.
